During our initial discussion I grasped that Deb had so much on her plate that I would be required to step in and provide the logo as well as the website and its theme. As someone who loves branding and design I delighted in experimenting with ideas for the layout and structure of her website. She wanted the site to be warm and welcoming to site visitors and to encourage them to subscribe, purchase some items and visit her physical Poetry Pharmacy in Bishop’s Castle, Shropshire, UK.
By creating a lead capture form on every page I ensured that no one missed out becoming aware of the option to subscribe to Deb’s newsletter. Several shop items feature prominently on her homepage with clear links to her main shop page. The shop layout is clear and uncluttered with distractions to aid in swift and efficient purchases.
The booking of tickets for her events could not be more straightforward, with plenty of event information followed by links to book the relevant tickets.
As we predicted the average website visitor to be more at ease with a simple, clear and easily navigable layout, I have made a concerted effort to not over complicate the site with too many links doubling up and causing confusion.
